The three professors had walked down to the train station from the university. They were so absorbed in their conversation that they didn't hear the train come in or the conductor's :"All Aboard!" call, but they did notice the noise of the train as it started to pull out. They rushed after it, and two managed to scramble on. The third looked glumly on as the train pulled away. "Don't feel bad", said the ticket agent, "two out of the three of you made it." "True," sighed the professor, "but those two came down to see me off."
